“My dog Benny is a criminal. He has been extremely dog aggressive and wary of strangers. He is the reason we adjust much of our lives around his behavior.

When we sought help with Benny’s anxiety, we learned a lot about why the first paragraph is largely false. We were lucky to be put in touch with Nick who was fabulous at flipping the script on Benny. The first step was Nick expertly describing not what Benny was doing, but what he needed from me. As a reactive dog, the onus was on me to provide the necessary support for him, not angry discipline or rapid fire repetition. Nick used multiple macro frameworks to provide me and Benny with appropriate challenges and goals to benchmark. Nick also has a large collection of small and elegant tweaks to the training environment that all help to make training more effective. All of this training occurred with a trainer who made the process as entertaining for the human as the canine. Personable, experienced , humorous, and able to be direct the training forward while making training like a play date for dogs and meeting a friend for the humans.

Overall, our training is the best thing that’s happened for our relationship with Benny and it was, the best thing to happen to Benny. We know what he needs and he knows that we have his needs taken care of and he can rely on us.”

He is going to be a very big dog and we needed help with pulling on leash, taking his place to settle down and not barking at other dogs.
